This is very useful when you come home with a newborn and want something comfortable for your baby while keeping him next to your bed as you sleep. The soothing sounds worked like magic with the baby and he would go off to sleep the moment we played the sounds of the sea. The rocking motion also is very helpful and you can pull up the rocker when you want to move the bassinet around in the house.
My only complaint with this is that the sounds stay on for a set period of time (I think one minute or so) and then switches off. There is no way to make it play for longer periods which would be very useful. I think Kolcraft should provide both options. That's the only reason why this is not a 5 star product.
