We used this as a co-sleeper (mostly for naps, and some nights when we were too tired to safely co-sleep in bed) for about 7 months, until she became able to pull herself up. What I liked about it was the "convertible" part; otherwise, we would have had to put it up in the attic at 7 months, along with other stuff that doesn't "age" well. Because it's convertible to a playpen (lowering the surface, so to speak), we are still using it at 8 months and should be able to keep using it for awhile yet. It is smallish, but great for putting her down while I use the restroom or shower or make the bed. It fits nicely into our teeny bedroom. A great buy.
