I purchased two of these for our grandchildren. Both mothers love them, and have asked where I purchased them so they can buy another one & friends want to buy them also. Two nice safety features are: (1) the lid closes slowly so you don't have to worry about it dropping on the children and (2) there are slots and airholes in the box so that even if the child hides in the box, you do not have to worry about suffocation.
