The construction is okay. For a small piece of furniture and the price, I would have expected something much more durable. My child hops on it and falls into it and he can feel the wood frame underneath the cushioning. The arm rests have no padding on the topside, so resting on the armrests hurts because the wood frame digs into kids.

If you've ever shopped for furniture at a discount place, then you know how they cut corners to make cheaper furniture. The manufacturer has cut all the corners for this piece. Some extra padding in the back, the armrests, and the seat would have made this a more durable product without adding to the cost. Actually, I probably wouldn't have noticed all the other shortcuts taken to manufacture this item if the armrests, at the least, were properly cushioned and did not hurt to lean on.

Item is cute and looks good, but only functional if your child will remain seated in an upright position. Laying on and horsing around does not got well with this item.

Well, first I need to say that the dresser was shipped by AMAZON via UPS. The mail carrier dropped the large box at my door w/o knocking. Which was usual. I just happened to be home and heard them drive off. When I got the package off my porch, I noticed the the entire bottom was soaked with water. I opened the package up and found that many of the pieces were water damaged.

I know I probably should just send it back, but I'm nine months pregnant, and just wanted to get the nursery DONE! So, I let the pieces dry and put them together, hoping it wouldn't be so bad.

Even without the water damage though, I think this dresser is EXACTLY what you pay for. It is cheap and not so pleasing to the eyes. While putting it together, there was difficulty with some screws fitting in the holes (or absent holes) that ended up leaving ugly markings through some of the pieces, only noticeable from the inside of the drawers. Still, not a sign of quality furniture. And not really what I had in mind.

The small-sized drawers did not fit nicely in the base once completed. They all look unevenly spaced. I'm sure I could try and reset each to make them look better... but, that's gonna take some freetime, that I just don't have now. Not to mention, it needs a fresh coat of paint b/c of the water damage.

I've actually recently purchase a comparable children's furniture set at Target (Delaney line in white or honey oak) for my older child's room and found it BY FAR better quality and easier to assemble, for very close to the same price! I plan on ordering another one of these in the nojo jungle tales fabric for the nursery (if it's not bought off the registry) and have read that others had to stain or paint it since it really didn't match. This would actually be easy to do since the fabric holds to the wood by velcro and ties. Nice to know it's not already sewn on which would make it impossible to change the wood color if you wanted. Yes, you read it correctly, this co-sleeper, doesn't require assembly. Shocked to receive the box and it says no assembly, couldn't believe my eyes. The setup took less than 5 minutes to do, yes it was just that easy, didn't even need to open the manual, awesome. The actual crib / bassinet is big enough for up to 6 month baby, wish it was a bit wider, then it'll last even longer. The packing is very smart, I was able to pack it up and take it with me on a trip without a fuss, and the baby can sleep comfortably just like she is home. You don't really need to use the extra leg or wheels, some shorter beds will work better without it, and if you have a tall bed, then use the wheel and legs to make the co-sleeper taller to fit.

Overall an excellent constructed piece, secure feeling, smart design, good storage area, probably if there is one complaint would be the mattress is a bit on the thin side. I bought this changing table and matching cribs for my new twins in October. Like the cribs, the table looks great and is of high quality. My only complaint is the changing pad, which is covered with incredibly thin gauge plastic. Within two months, the plastic had ripped, leaving a large hole, even though there had been no stress on it, other than the weight of a baby lying on it.
